I have been a fan of Garbage since they released their first album in 1995. This was the first opportunity I had to see them perform at a live concert and I am grateful to Garbage's management for giving me permission to photograph. Unfortunately, the photographers were only allowed to photograph during songs 2 thru 4 so I missed capturing some interesting moments later in the show where Shirley was interacting with the other band members and when she was singing while lying on the floor. I was lucky to even see the rest of the show because after the fourth song, all the photographers were escorted from the photographer's pit in front of the stage directly out the back door out onto the street. They would not let me stay to just watch the show even though I had a ticket that I paid for. I walked around the block to get to the front entrance and fortunately, I was able to convince a door guard to let me back in to watch the rest of the show from the back of the full-capacity, 3000 person audience. It was a great show and I hope my photos captured some of the magic of the night.
